Rotary Motto

Service Above Self

Community Contributions

  • Since the inception of our club in February of 2002, we have contributed $21,408 to local and international charities to include $4,000 in local scholarships through January 2005…..

  • For the Rotary year 2004 – 2005, we have contributed $8,124 through January 2005.  A Rotary year is July 1 through June 30

  • Our club membership has also contributed an all-time giving of $14,065 to The Rotary Foundation

Attendance

Regular attendance is essential to a strong and active Rotary club.  Rotary stresses regular attendance because each member represents his own business or profession and thus the absence of any member deprives the club of the values of its diversified membership and the personal fellowship of each member.

The 4-Way Test

  1. Is it the TRUTH?

  2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?

  3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?

  4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

Four Avenues of Service

  • Club Service

  • Vocation Service

  • Community Service

  • International Service

New Member Sponsorship

  1. Invite a prospective member to several meetings

  2. Accompany the prospective new member to one or more orientation/information meetings

  3. Introduce new member to other club members each week for the first month

  4. Invite the new member to accompany the sponsor to neighboring clubs

  5. Ask the new member and spouse to accompany the sponsor to the club's social activities

  6. Urge the new member and spouse to attend the district conference

  7. Serve as a special friend to assure the new member becomes an active Rotarian.
